Tough luck for Choo. Looks like his hit streak is ending tonight.

Dusty, I like ya, but the bullpen doesn't need to turn into Rip Van Winkle.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

And that's the night for Cingrani. Great job by the rookie pitcher to keep the Giants to 2 runs.

The Dodgers' Marmol experiment didn't work too well. 1 2/3 innings, 4 hits, 1 walk, 1 HR, 3 runs.

Todd Frazier has been an absolute stud defensively at 3B this season.
    I miss Adam Dunn.

Strange that he takes him out now, with his spot coming up in the order.

EDIT: Explained by Simon batting for himself. No need to waste a PH, good call by Dusty.

    This win is Dusty's fault.

Yeah, I have no problem stretching him out a bit. 110 is around where I'd want to yank him...an extra 10 on an easy night...perfectly fine with it.

    Well done rook. Nice game.

George giving us a brief synopsis of Marco Scutaro's life. I forgot what a journeyman career he's had over the last few years, I always just equate him with the Oakland A's even though he last played with them in 2007.

I agree. He and Votto have somewhat cancelled each other out. As much above expectations Todd has been, that's about how much below expectations Joey's been.

kinda surprised Dusty went with Simon in game 1. I figured he would save his long man for the game with the AAA pitcher.
