I missed the last inning, but I thought Dusty handled Cingrani just right tonight.

Simon, I think, will pitch the rest of this game. He can easily go two or three innings when needed.

That would leave the entire bullpen minus Simon available for game two. Let's hope they aren't needed too early in that one.

I love how Votto always sneaks a peek at how the defense is aligned just before the pitch. I don't see many other hitters doing that.
    2014 predictions:
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG

NL pitchers...beware. Votto just dropped an f-bomb...that usually spells doom for opposing pitchers in the near future. Bwahahahahaha!

As good as he is, I imagine it's like playing softball for him at times.

Surprised the players' manager Dusty pulled Choo with 1 AB left and a pretty fair hitting streak.

Quick 1-2-3 for Simon. One more chance to pile on, and then they can wrap this up and move on to Game 2.

I have a good trivia question ready for between games....check out the old red guard after the game.

Just FYI, that quote originated from Logan Morrison.
"No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference." ~Tommy Lasorda
