Corky had no need to block the plate....but if he receives that like a second baseman on a steal....easy out

What a tremendous throw. Never once in my life did I block a plate that poorly. That's what scared guys do. You're lucky to be here, Miller. Give it all you got.

Hmmm. Looks like both teams played for the split. Giants in the first game with their pitcher and the Reds in the second. And the lineup!

    It's early, though.

Alright guys, I'm as confused as any of you as to why Corky is on the roster but he's still there and the same rules will apply to him as any other player about player bashing.

And I may be guilty too.

Corky's at least a 4 tool player: no defense, weak arm, can't run, terrible bat. Does the 'stache make up for all that?

"Good" is way too high a bar. "Vaguely okay" would be more appropriate: the answer would also be "no."

As bad as this looks so far...maybe Reynolds will calm his nerves, Corky won't have to make a big play the rest of the game and Zito turns into Zito.

Corky will hit a grand slam to redeem himself.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Wait. I thought tools were supposed to be things you CAN do. Wouldn't this make him a four non-tool player?

I bet Corky could put down beers like few have before.
