Ah, probably not with this lineup.

The first problem is batting one of the worst hitters in baseball second. I don't get it.

We're still in this. If this game drags on until 2 am, I hope they at least can squeak out a win. The last two days/games, we've only used Simon for 2 innings, so he pen is at least fresh.

    Fair enough.

    Reynolds minimizes the damage.

Reds need to get to Zito here. Bochy will pull out all the stops to win this game and will empty his pen.

The bad luck is Dusty not playing the best players he has. You didn't see Mays, Aaron, Rose, etc, etc. sit a game when they played double headers.
Only the catchers would get a breather, and still many caught both games.

And they used to play several a year.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but I don't think that's hurting us too much so far. We're gonna have a breakout inning on Zito here soon.
Rounding third and heading for home...

Well..swinging like that is no way to get into their already depleted pen.

Zito scuffles last inning, walks 2 and the pitch count is up.

    3 pitches = 2 outs.

The Giants also don't have a tired pen or anything. Can't walk your way to the World Series.
Do the Giants play their outfield extra shallow, or is it an AT&T park thing? Seems like the OF are incredibly shallow.

Frazier smacks one to the wall for a triple, and it's 5-3!
