We're still in this. If this game drags on until 2 am, I hope they at least can squeak out a win. The last two days/games, we've only used Simon for 2 innings, so he pen is at least fresh.

The fact that the best hitter in the league is behind you is exactly why you should expect to get a good pitch to hit on 2-0. And he did. That it was a bad swing doesn't mean it was a bad idea to swing. It just means it was a bad swing.

The bad luck is Dusty not playing the best players he has. You didn't see Mays, Aaron, Rose, etc, etc. sit a game when they played double headers.
Only the catchers would get a breather, and still many caught both games.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but I don't think that's hurting us too much so far. We're gonna have a breakout inning on Zito here soon.
