    Who's more clutch? A Poll.

Really simple. I just want to know whether you think performance in clutch situations is predictive or whether overall talent trumps it.

    Code:
    	2013	Career
    Votto	.303	.345
    BP	.402	.287

Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

    Why are the results hidden?

And I went with Joey Votto.

    He is the better hitter.

I'll show them once the poll closes. Don't want people basing their opinions on the votes of others.

Is creating a situation for someone else to have a clutch situation not clutch?

I don't know if this is in regards to my posts, but I said many times Votto is the better hitter. So I don't know what this proves.

Kinda like ERA+ and OPS+, I factored in the fact that Joey will get walked many times with RISP. Of course a walk does not hurt/help BA, but Joey misses many prime RISP opportunities b/c pitchers are scared to throw the ball in the zone against him.

Therefore... I want Joey Votto at the plate if I had to choose. No doubt about it.

After that 3 run double last night, I want an option for Corky Miller. After all, Votto's HR was with the bases empty.

I refuse to vote as I believe batting average with runners in scoring position is a ridiculous stat that's only use is to provide comedic relief.

Walks actually can effect batting average. It lowers ABs which allows for a higher batting average with less hits.

That's cool. I'm usually good with just a wallet but you can probably carry all kinds of change that way.

I think Phillips could have a higher BA with RISP then Votto going forward, but Votto could still be more clutch, and whom I would rather have at the plate in high leverage AB's.

I also think a better comparison would be Phillips to Bruce, since they are similar hitters overall. If one had a better BA with RISP, one could better argue that he was more clutch. Votto is such a better hitter than Phillips, it makes it difficult to compare them on anything hitting related. Votto is going to be better at pretty much everything.
