I'm not at all upset about this game. Splitting the first two of this series is a huge win IMO.

That being said, Phillips has really been cratering for a while now. His RBI total is doing a great job of hiding the fact that he's slumping, and pretty badly. Maybe it would be a good time to move him out of the 4 spot for a bit to try and get him going.

The 1-1 pitch was the pitch to hit.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

Well, we're bad again. Great game though, tip your cap and come back tomorrow for the W.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

That was a fun game. LA is a heck of a team. Good stuff from Homer, too.

Get em tomorrow. Lost a great game 2-1 to Kershaw. Not like we got shutout by the Marlins.

Ugh. Well, not a bad game overall. Other than the loss, of course.

And that's it. Yeah, I'm not too bitter about this either. They played fairly hard against some tough pitching, just not their night tonight. Get 'em next time.

Good ballgame. Just buzzsaw Dodger pitching.

    Go get 'em tomorrow.

The good news is if we continue to give up only 2 runs a game on Saturday and Sunday, I like our odds of winning both.

I'm all for grip-and-rip in certain situations. Just not that one. Looked like he was trying to win it instead of extending the game.

This series does have a playoff feel.

The LA crowd was really into that game tonight. Surprising.

Find a way to split this series and move onto San Diego and Old Town.
