You mean when he was used on the 25th?

I wasn't watching. Did Denorfia slide into home?

Chapman should have been used in the 10th or 11th yesterday. Did I see the Reds have lost 5-6 extra inning games without Chapman being used. That seems ludicrous.

The bigger question is what do we do with the guy in the offseason. He's an expensive toy with low miles that is a luxurious waste for a mid-market team like the Reds with 4/5ths of a rotation to fill in after 2015.

The front office has basically put the season on simulate and gone for a smoke. Man, when Walt comes back in he's going to be surprised.

Blaming Dusty is fine, and he has a lot to be blamed for), but when your bench consists of Isturis, Hanahan, Meseraco, Paul, Robinson, Heisey et al. I blame our scouts and Walt for not constructing a better bench. Injuries happen and someone must pick up the slack.

Chapman needs to be dealt soon for offense. If he's not going to be used correctly, send him somewhere for a real major league hitter and let Hoover close. I bet the percentage wouldn't be much different.

With decades as a MLB manger, Baker still can't fathom the esoteric concept of OBP.

There is no hope he could grasp leverage.

there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

Why is this guy a reliever, then?
Because there were already five good starters, turned out to be six. Chapman in his first year starting, a role he didn't want, was going to be better than Cueto, Bailey, Arroyo, Leake, Latos, or Cingrani? He can't get three outs, I don't want him responsible for 18-27.

Twice. He was used on the 20th and the 25th.

Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.

Different routines entirely. Chapman clearly can't handle the unpredictability of being a reliever.

Walt's mettle will be tested this offseason. There are some big decisions to be made and not sure how much is left in the piggybank. Big dollars were committed to Luddy, Broxton and Marshall. That's left the club in the current bind.

Choo, Arroyo, Bailey and Chapman could all be gone in FA and trades after this season. We could be looking at a very different team as early as Opening Day 2014.

If it wasn't for Cingrani, we might be a .500 team this season.

But please continue blaming Dusty rather than the person who actually threw the pitches.
