Yeah they're gonna fire Dusty while in firm control of a playoff spot.

    No.

    No.

Yeah, there is no way that happens.

Big expectations mean the perception of failure is intensified. Plus the FO might want to deflect blame when they fail to acquire a bat.

    That's more than 52 cards.

    I miss Bochy's mustache.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Baseball is a funny game and you never know.

But BCast is the last guy I'd expect to panic. I doubt Dusty will be let go. But I am on record that this is all the better the Reds will be under Dusty, borderline playoff team but no better.

Cozart has walked two games in a row. This has to be a sign. We're winning this one.

Also: Must be first time ever that Cozart has walked two games in a row (kidding, just barely).

No, we definitely are. I've given up on trying to guess about baseball, though. I've thought too many times I had something figured out only to be completely proven wrong.

This team needs a big shot of intestinal fortitude. Bring up Ludwig now and let him rehab on the big league level. He won't do any worse than what they've got out there and maybe he will help in the clubhouse.

Everything I know about Castellini (not necessarily from the baseball sphere) tells me that he is pushing for a grand and futile Animal House-style gesture but he trusts Jocketty enough to let him play it close to the vest.

Well I would probably be living in Brooklyn if it were closer to my job like the Bronx is, so if you have a choice of boroughs BK is probably most worth exploring. Quicker to Manhattan as well. Bronx is a mixed bag, I live in a little neighborhood called Country Club, which is every bit as tough and rugged as it sounds. Really nice area on the waterfront. The whole Pelham Bay/Throggs Neck section of the Bronx is really nice, as is Riverdale. The rest is a bit more shady, though not as bad as it's reputation would have you believe.
