Choo looks pissed (for his standards). Welsh is opining it might be about his ankle. Doesn't look like it.

I'm thinking Latos has had more run support than any other starter since the trade. He has lost many games late on pen meltdowns, but that often happens when you don't go past the 6th inning very often.

I'm a bit torn on a mega LTC for Latos. He has great stuff and appears to be a durable horse, but still has some room to grow on efficiency and composure. Then again, Mat is still only 25.

    PH Choo with Heisey???

Of all times for Dusty to think,
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

Pretty sure Heisey hits RH just as well or better than LH anyways (small sample).

Once I saw how fast Robinson was and now he's a functional member of this team.....I've been waiting for Dusty to jump at the chance to throw him in CF and lead off every game......and Choo with a bum ankle and not great against lefties.

I bet D Rob is our everyday CF next year....leading off of course (not saying it's a bad thing....but a prediction)

    .771 OPS

    Choo vs. LHP

    .671 OPS

Did Dusty's alarm go off or did someone miss a PH signal? A very un-Dusty like move, but he's looked a bit nervous the last few innings.

Speaking of managerial moves, does anyone else this Davey Johnson makes it back for 2014?

So DR strikes out and Choo is due up and the solution is Heisey because its a lefty? So the opposition brings in a righty because they know Chris is, well, not so good, and we remember our horrible bench. Which we don't need help because we're good and it ends in a quick out. If Choo isn't hurt, I really don't understand.

No urgency in this team since the Pirates series.

    Heisey squared it pretty good.

I disagree on Hannahan. He's not a good hitter, but he can be decent at times. Excellent fielder. Veteran player, doesn't make a lot of mistakes.

Backup. Pure backup. No problem having him on the team. He'd probably hit a bit better if he had more chances.

I guess it's understandable why so much unhappiness is expressed at the bench players. For me, there are starting players on this team who are far more disappointing.
