Strange, but I swear Marty just read the line up and said Mesoraco is catching, but it's not showing that way on MLB.com. Anyone else hear that?

Well, no breaking out of the offensive funk that inning. Reds go down 1-2-3.

Is DRob becoming a fly ball hitter because he's made good contact a couple times of late? SEEMS like it.

Heisey is always down 0-2 when he doesn't swing at the 1st pitch

Votto with a soft ground out

    1-2-3 first for Homie.

Well, the Padres go down 1-2-3 in the first as well, so that's something.

Denorfia has the chip on his shoulder it looks.

Sorry Chris, you were greatly unimpressive for the Reds and they moved on. Enjoy a very nice living in San Diego.....oh and just because you hit a HR doesn't mean you are a homerun hitter

Brandon tells Marty to stick his whining in his ear and slams it over the wall - home run, 1-0 Reds.

The Reds reached their quota early today. So everyone can spare themselves, preemptively, the next 2-3 hours of their lives and go find something on television to watch! Go be happy!

I don't think he has a chip, and he looked good with the Reds. Probably was many, apparently including Jerry Narron, expected him to have the power he flashed in the minors to seamlessly replace Austin Kearns in RF. When he didn't show it in 2-3 weeks (and he obviously never did develop it), he was disowned.
