I suspect we'll find out
The older I get - the better I was
and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)
I miss Raisor
And the stellar base running continues
The Reds are so excited when they reach base, they forget what to do when they reach.

Reds caught a break (for insurance anyways)....DRob was out but Heisey took advantage and Votto added on.
Should've been 1-0 going to the bottom of 7
Take the small break and run with it.
Who was it that was arguing the Reds were a good base running team?
Everyone has been saying that the Cards crazy RISP would level out, and now that it has BOTTOMED out you still think they are the biggest threat? With Molina out, 3 rookie starters and Westbrook too!!? And Holliday back to suck in the#3 hole?
Look at this card for tonites ESPN game:
Jay
Beltran
Craig
Holliday
Freese
Descalso
Cruz
Kozma
Waino
LOL.....they go from 5 guys batting over .300 to 1, Craig, and he is in the worst slump of his career! But thanks for your input et tu.
I was in the camp that thought they would regress, so I don't disagree with what you're saying. But I also am in a camp that think the Pirates are going to have to face the music if/when their bullpen comes down to reality and the number of innings catches up with them (not to mention now they don't even have Grilli for most or all of the regular season). I just think the Cardinals are still in better shape than the Pirates, their schedule notwithstanding.
Maybe it's overstated due to the grueling schedule the Cardinals continue to have until mid-September. But while the Pirates are a good club, I just don't think they're this good.

I'll be rooting for the Cards to win the next two games at Pittsburgh.
Pirates lead the Reds by seven in the loss column, continue now to play at home, face the Rockies and Marlins. I'm concerned that the Pirates will open up a lead in the loss column that the Reds can't close.
The Cards, believe it or not, finish their series with the Bucs, play in Cincy, and then face the Dodgers in St. Louis. Without Molina.
Over the next week or so, I think the Bucs are the bigger threat to put the division completely out of reach, so I'll root for the Cards in this Bucs series.
Today's heroes...
1. Homer
2. Heisey
3. Phillips
HM to Votto and Cozy
I thought Corky had a hit

I miss Raisor
Corky missed an infield hit by the covering of the ball
Nice pitch
Corky steal is obviously obvious
