    The Lagacy of Chuck Hughes

This is a very good article and video about Chuck Hughes. Hughes was the only player to die during an NFL game back in 1971. I vaguely remember this.

I also have a vague memory of this. I was only 8 at the time, but as was usually the case when football was on TV, our family was watching. I remember seeing this happen, but probably didn't fully grasp it at that age. Thank you for posting this. It's the first detailed article I've ever seen or read about it.

I saw a video of part of that game broadcast on Youtube just recently. I'll have to go back to find it. His collapse wasn't caught on camera but still a frightening scene. For some reason over the years I thought it had happened on Monday night game. This game wasn't on in my area or I may very well have had it on that day.

That's funny, because I always remembered it as a Monday night game as well. I started to include that in my first post, but didn't.
