Yorman Rodriguez walked his first time up. Both his BB% and K% have improved during his time at Pensacola. His OBP in AA, including that first AB, is now .348.
Code:2013 BB% K% High-A 8.0% 27.8% AA 10.0% 23.0% Career 6.6% 25.9%
Ervin is 2-for-7 with a couple singles and two walks in his first nine plate appearances with Dayton. I love his plate approach. The Reds need more hitters with that type of approach. Winker fits in that category too. Mejias-Brean too.
Louisville down 4-0 after four and a half innings. Dennick pulled after four. Arredondo pitched a scoreless fifth. Zach Duke with a scoreless sixth. Bats' bats need to come alive.

Pensacola up 1-0 early. Lohman single. Rodriguez walk. Barnhart single. Contreras has pitched two scoreless frames.
Three hitless in the books now for Contreras.

Dayton in the bottom of the second with no score. Drew Cisco on the mound for the Dragons.
Stop the presses! Drew Cisco walked back-to-back hitters. This followed a single and preceded a salami. Dayton down 4-0.

Yorman has walked in his first two plate appearances tonight.
Mobile got its first hit off Contreras in the sixth inning. Curiously, through five hitless innings he struck out nobody.
Contreras calls it a night after six: 6IP 1H 0R 0ER 2BB 1K. 2.87 ERA at Pensacola. Only 73 pitches. Seems like he could have gone another inning or two.
Lee Hyde pitched a shutout frame.
Wahoos have 9 hits in six innings but just the one run.
Lohman and Yorman have singled with one out in the seventh.
