http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/0...n-waivers.html2:45pm: The Rangers are the team that claimed Rios, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News (on Twitter). Grant cautions that claiming Rios and actually striking a deal to acquire the 32-year-old are very different things.
Walt, you still in there Walt? Walt? WALT!?
Does absolutely nothing to help this team before the July 31 trading deadline. Zero. Yeah, I definitely shouldn't expect any big moves in the near future. Very disappointing. This team is very close to having all the pieces needed to win the WS. We might never see a starting pitching staff this good in Cincinnati again (well, maybe next year, ha).
The Rangers trade for Garza and then pick up Rios on waivers (we'll see if he actually becomes a Ranger).
Now that's a front office out there working hard trying to improve the club. It's so much easier to sit back and do nothing. Thank goodness most of the NL GMs seem to be on "sleep mode" as well.
