Since June 1, Dunn is batting .289/.401/.532 with 14 of his 26 homers. American League contenders in need of a bat, such as the Rangers and Orioles, would seem to be logical fits Dunn. The White Sox would likely have to kick in significant cash to make a deal work out, and the more they're willing to include, the more they can expect back in a potential return.
Wonder what it would take? Didn't take a whole lot when the Reds dealt him and he is owed around 19 million through 2014..
Reds aren't taking him on with Ludwick coming back and signed through next season.
Considering he's no longer an on base machine and still fields like a DH, if a team is willing to take on the majority of next year's contract, I'm guessing the White Sox would be delighted to give him away for nothing.

Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Phillies Designate Delmon Young For Assignment

The Phillies announced that they have designated Delmon Young for assignment in order to clear a roster spot for Casper Wells, who was claimed off waivers from the White Sox this week.
Young, 27, is hitting .260/.301/.397 in 291 plate appearances for the Phillies this season after signing a small, one-year $750K contract this offseason.
I've seen and heard a lot about Dmitri Young lately hanging around.. Could he have influence on Delmon coming to Cincinnati?
