Just saw that before tonight Mesoraco had a .968 ops over 33 ab against the Cards. He probably hasn't done much to hurt that tonight.

Sorry I didn't mean to imply every game, just that Bailey is now the only one he's not catching. And with both under control next year, I hope that changes going forward.

Or Homer gets dealt for a legit bat.

Bruce needs to settle himself down a bit, he hasn't been like this in a long while.

Paul flies out to left. So it's a five-run lead going into the ninth. Time to shut 'em down!

If they hold on tonight and win tomorrow, they will be 4-2 against the Cards and Pirates. It's a good start.

Chapman in with a non-save situation. Needs some work after lack of pitching recently.

The whole problem with this offense is they live and die with the long ball...when they hit a homer or two they are hard to beat but even tonight they haven't strung together a lot of hits - its the bombs bringing em in. Just an observation. Mesaraco adds a threat that Hanny or Miller just don't possess - he should start most of the time from here on.
