Makes some good points. (Every sabermatrician would agree. Too many stolen base attempts, too many bunts, horrible lineup construction, telling batters "It's called 'hitting' not 'walking', leaving gassed pitchers in the game so they can "try and get the win," etc.)

I think he was speaking specifically about Choo. He has 11 steals and has been caught 8 times. WOY, I know you pride yourself on being sarcastic, but you have to admit the Reds' leadoff hitter getting thrown out stealing 8 times is extremely bad, considering he's only stolen 11 bases. How about we stop running him?
We're not talking about Billy Hamilton getting thrown out 8 times stealing. He would likely have 50+ steals to go along with those CS's (not 11).
The Reds are pitiful on steals for sure, they run the bases well but steals/caught steals are weak, however the total number is still low in the grand scale of outs they create.
Both Choo and Phillips have been less than stellar on the paths, and a lot of their bad moments are when the runners on the move and they hitter doesn't connect (ouch)

You can't really blame Dusty for all of Choo's CS. I know at least 2-3 of them are from getting picked off. Like today's.
I've always loved Dusty Baker. Great baseball man, track record speaks for itself.
But either win a playoff series and look good in the NLCS or it's time to go. Period.
