Looking forward to this. What's the length of the AFL season?
31 regular season games. From October 8-November 14. Most games are afternoon games, though there are a few night games. There is also the Rising Stars game (basically an all-star game that they show on MLB Network).

The Reds Yorman Rodriguez is 3 for 3 with a double and 2 singles, 2 rbi's and 2 runs scored, in The Desert Dogs opener today. 5-3 Glendale DD over Mesa Solar Sox, bot 6. Tucker Barnhart is 0-3.

Rodriguez went 3-5 with a walk, 3 runs, double and 2 RBI. His two outs were line out and a strikeout.
Tucker Barnhart went 0-5.
Drew Hayes threw a perfect inning with 2 strikeouts.
When I was a kid, it somehow got stuck in my mind that a perfect inning meant getting three outs on three pitches. One day my older brother mentioned that the Reds' pitcher had just pitched a perfect inning. I vehemently disagreed and offered up my understanding of what a perfect inning was. He laughed at my ignorance. And so we went to my dad to settle the dispute. He agreed with my older brother and kinda chuckled. My life has spiraled sadly downhill ever since.

Rough game two in the AZL.
Lorenzen: 2 IP, 6 H, 7 ER, 3 BB, 0 K, 2 HR
Walczak: 1.1 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 2 K
Sharky: 2 IP, H, 0 R, 0BB, 2 K
Mattair: 2-4, BB ,Solo HR
LaMarre: 1-4, BB
No Yorman or Barnhart
Lorenzen is in the AFL? Seems like he's being rushed.
Why did Lorenzen pitch 2 innings?
I find it hard to believe he was not well over his pitch count giving up 7 runs.

Looks like he had 45 pitches. Are they considering making him a starter? I am ignorant to the relief pitcher pitch counts, but that seems kind of high.
According to the box score he had 20 strikes in 45 pitches - ouch. Hopefully that is just first game jitters or something.
Chad 'Desert Shark' Rogers with a nice two innings on Wednesday. Economical - 24 pitches. Threw strikes - 16 of them. Nice to see.
Edd Roush (10-10-2013)
Y-Rod homers. He could be the toolsy type who comes fast when the light clicks on. Could he be an option in CF if Hamilton still struggles to get on base? I'd prefer an established player to either of them, just wondering if his CF days are long gone?
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!
