    Minor League Updates: Monday 8/05/2013

Louisville jumps out in front of Indianapolis by plating three in the first against Jameson Taillon, who is making his first start at AAA. Taillon struck out the side but not before walking three and giving up a bases-clearing double to Mike Hessman.

Daniel Corcino is on the mound for the Bats. Corcino is trying to build up his last start, which was excellent. Corcino gave up one run on three hits his last time out.

Amir Garrett pitched a 1-2-3 first, striking out two.

DSL Rojo and the DSL Pirates are suspended in the top of the 10th at 1.

Lots of Rojo hitters had a single base knock. Israel Cuevas started and went five. He pitched shutout ball and allowed just three hits. The relief corps has gone 4.2 innings and surrendered just that lone run.

AZL Reds are in action against the AZL Rangers. No score after three.

Nick Routt is making his third start of the season. He went just one inning in each of the first two starts. Tonight he is pitching hitless baseball into the third. He has 3Ks in 2.2 innings of work so far. He then walked a batter and was removed in favor of Franderlyn Romero. Romero walked two more to load the bases. But then escaped damage by striking out somebody.

    Logan Uxa has tripled.
Shedric Long singled and was picked off/caught stealing.
Kevin Garcia has a walk and is hitting .372.

My favorite name among newcomers - I believe it means "God's Kleenex" in Spanish.
