Yep....agree with how Dusty did this AND loved Latos' reaction (ticked but not disrespectful)

    Great game.

Fine letting Latos start the inning and I like Hoover over LeCure right now. Agreed with Dusty twice in 10 minutes. I need to get to bed.

    Hoover's beard is progressing nicely.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Latos is just a guy that knows how to pitch. GABP will eat pitchers alive if they don't have confidence.

Awesome start coming off this weekend.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

Latos gave Cespedes a couple good fastballs and he hit them sharp on the ground.

They said in BP he was hitting them out of the park and hit one high up on the smoke stack.

I wonder if they'll take BP on get-away day?

    Good work by the vacuum.

And BTW....the DP turn by Sogard in the 1st? Bret Boone quick. He's flashed his leather today.

get the win that I can go to bed and sleep (2-3 hours)

IŽll be tired tomorrow, but not as tired like IŽam after losses vs. the cardinals

I know that would've been a heck of a play, but it seems like Votto's range this year has taken a huge hit -- he just can't get down to the ground. Not sure if it's his knee or just a little bit of age showing up, but it seems pretty consistent.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Now I kind of want to start using 'Bret Boone' as an descriptor for things.

"That movie was good. Bret Boone good."

    "She's smart. Bret Boone smart."

Pirates had bases loaded and no out, but failed to score. 3-3, top 9
Cards now 2-0 over Dodgers, top 6
