Louisville wrap: Bats 6 Indy 4.

Yohan Pino (2.76) with another fine start. Next time the Reds need a spot start, I would go with this guy. Forget the 40-man roster. 6.1IP 5H 2R 2ER 0BB 9K.
Curtis Partch got roughed up in one inning of work. He surrendered two runs on four hits.
Kevin Whelan got save number six.

    Billy Hamilton - 1 for 4. A single. 1RBI. 1 SB (66).
    Ryan Ludwick - 1 for 4. A home run. 1RS. 2RBI.
    Mike Hessman - 1 for 3. A double. A walk. 1RS.
    Henry Rodriguez - 1 for 2. A double. 1RS. 2RBI.

Nevin Ashley singled his first time up and then came out of the game. No idea why.

Did Bakersfield skip Stephenson an off day? He hasn't pitched since July 29. Are they just trying to limit his innings?

Billings wrap: Osprey 5 Mustangs 2.

Mustangs are in a tailspin. 7-20 over their last 27 games.

Fabian Roman and Nolan Becker each pitched a scoreless frame. Otherwise it was ugly on the mound.

    Daniel Paula - 2 for 4. A single. A triple. 1RS.
    Jose Ortiz - 1 for 3. A double. 1SF. 2RBI.

Here is an article dated July 31st off of MiLB.com. It doesn't mention any injury of any type. It does state that Stephenson would like to finish the year in Pensacola.

From Doug's web site on Monday:

    http://redsminorleagues.com/2013/08/...-and-notes-66/

Robert Stephenson was listed as the probable starter for the game on Sunday for Bakersfield but he didn’t make the start. There is nothing much to it according to the Blaze.

Looks like they are indeed trying to keep his arm nice and fresh. Nothing serious to report.
