I'm not a Bruce has to win a GG guy with Reds blinders....but he is not average in RF, he is above average. His jump is good, his arm is above average....

If he can somehow lay off breaking pitches out of the zone from both lefties and righties, turning those flailing at bats into walks, we'd be looking at a .900 OPS monster.

I think he can do it.

I agree... He seems to work the count quite well and has more than his share of high pitch count ABs, but he's more likely to be over aggressive chase the 3-2 pitch out of the zone. I would love to see him more willing to take the close pitch because its a ball instead of swinging because its close.

Jay is turning into a professional hitter without sacrificing any of his power. It's beautiful to see.

That's funny. Thirty-five was the number that came to mind without doing the math when I watched the replay yesterday and they said (I think) that it was his 24th HR.

Jay gets his OBP to 375 and he's a superstar

And more ridiculous not batting 4th

Cozy and Meso being productive now makes Jay's OB % more important

Do we have any reason to believe that this is a possibility? His OBP has decreased each season in lockstep with the increase in his HR numbers.

50 point jumps in OBP don't happen all that often, especially if you believe that those two trends are related.

I think he can do it occasionally, but probably not consistently.

I absolutely think he can be a 350/550 guy going forward.

It would be great, no doubt, but is he settling in as a .325 guy? 1100 recent PAs seem to suggest that, however obviously nothing would be in stone.

I anticipate him being an .850 OPS guy going forward, anything else would be gravy.

They don't think it be like it is, but it do.
