Irish Heritage Night at GABP tomorrow? I'll just go ahead and assume Hannahan will see some playing time.
Bruce with a great play!
"Hey...Dad. Wanna Have A Catch?" Kevin Costner in "Field Of Dreams."

If you want to credit a player on defense, credit the number of bases "saved." Bruce just saved 1 base by cutting that ball off.

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but, I believe with that walk, Joey took over the NL OPS lead. Up to .441 OB% and .518 SLG%
Awesome night so far...Reds up 5-1, one eye watching 50+ elk working our back field, cool breeze blowing.
So, the Pirates had 4 hits in the first inning of their game...
...and didn't score.
Nice hustle there by Frazier for the infield single.
That one's gone! Two-run whack by Brandon Phillips, so it's now 7-1!

Morgan has been helping Phillips
Bench helped Mez earlier this year
Rose sought out Frazier to help with hitting
I'm liking that trend for sure.

Rockies up 3-0 on the Pirates in the first inning and still threatening with a runner on second and one out. 4-0 now after a single by Todd Helton. Liriano pitching for the Buccos.

Let's hope the Denver Rockies are able to give the Reds three games back in the standings after the weekend.
"No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference." ~Tommy Lasorda
Pirates had 4 hits in the top of the first and got no runs, Colorado gets 5 hits in the bottom of the first and scores 4 runs.
