No pitcher should have to be subjected to both Paul and Choo in the Outfield at the same time.

Horrible effort by Votto, that play was a joke.

Cingrani's got to be looking around the diamond for somebody to suck out the poison....he's got to be feeling snakebit right now.

That's what it takes to get an out! A ball way above the batter's head!

The Padres have averaged less than 3 runs the last 10 games...when you give a team 5 outs in an inning they will score some runs.

Yet people want to argue Votto hasn't been bad defensively this year. It's not just the errors (and my is he racking up the errors for a first baseman). There have been many other plays this season -- like the one we just saw -- where he could have been charged an error but wasn't.

Simply put: Votto's defense has regressed. There is no debating this.

Seems crap like this happens every single time we have a good night and gain some ground.

Could also be confirmation bias at work.

I can also think of at least 3 balls this season he went to his right when Brandon could of had the ball easy and the runner was safe at 1st

22 pitches, 2 runs in, and just 1 out.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Has anyone argued that Votto hasn't regressed? It beyond obvious.

As long as Cingrani strikes out everyone and none of our fielders have to make a play, we should be able to stay in this one.
