Good team played a bad game.

I'm defining "good" as having a 64-52 record.

I really don't think that fundamental lapses by players equates to having a low baseball IQ or low IQ in general. In fact, I think that assertion is silly. There isn't a person in this world that hasn't made mistakes in their job. It's the human condition.

    Another wasted opportunity. So frustrating.

Thanks Jack and Xavier both of your WARs should lose a full point tonight.

Lose one game after winning a few in a row and the sky is falling.

We're bad again. Win tomorrow and take the series.

We finally threw in the white towel on that disaster. Hopefully the concussion doesn't last till tomorrow.

So when they played their top 8 they won about half of those games?

That one game on the road (where our record is a joke, especially against good teams) is going to be epic.

Love your optimism though my friend. Seriously. You are good people.

This team was really banking on Ludwick having a good season. Injuries have really hurt us...more than other teams who have had injuries as well. I think this goes back to management not having much of a bench.

    Nice.

As I said, the 2001-2009 Reds had no expectations. I didn't get myself too worked up over those teams. This team had high expectations and have played disappointing, boring/sloppy baseball. With this teams pitching staff, they should have a much better record than their current one.

We have a chance to take the series at home against a bad team missing two of their best players!!!

    Break out the bubbly!

Sparky was more diplomatic than that. Playing them that much wouldn't have been very fair to the rest of the league now, would it?

Fans today really have zero clue what they missed back in the mid 70's with that offense. Reading about it just doesn't do it justice. Watching some highlights just doesn't do it justice. There has never been and probably never will be a starting 8 that matched that one. Offense, defense, baserunning, arms, power, patience, etc, etc, etc. Just totally spoiled me as a fan. :O)

Both guys are already negative.... not sure you can get a lot worse than that.

I guess the inventor of WAR must have already added "low baseball IQ" to the forumlae.

Four errors, two unearned runs, two outs given away on the bases, and a failure to get a runner in from third with 0 outs. Reds completely gave this game away.
