I think too much focus is placed on Dusty here. It's the players who are down 2 runs and playing like the bad news bears tonight...not Dusty.

One player, and one play = the entire team?

    Gotcha

I didn't say it was his fault, I just pointed out a fact.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

No, not just that one play, not just this one game. Many instances of poor baseball IQ being shown this season. Thankfully for you, you missed it.

Look, Paul made a dumb play. How often has he done that? I mean, I haven't noticed Paul do anything particularly dumb before. Does that make him an idiot? If any time someone does something dumb makes them an idiot, then the whole lot of us are a huge group of idiots.

I think he was talking about the game as a whole. Votto at 1st, Phillips stealing with Bruce up and the right side wide open, X, etc.

Not just talking about that one play. Did you miss the first inning? You did, didn't you?

True. You're right somewhat. He did pick Jack to play tonight and Paul as well. But at the same time, he also tabbed Cingrani and Simon. Both pitched well. Considering how Parra's pitched lately, kinda hard to say choosing him was a poor choice too.

Bottom line, team is playing poorly overall tonight with a few exceptions.

    I saw the first inning.

The fact that Paul is a terrible fielder does not necessarily imply that he has a low IQ.

I know plenty of high IQ people who could not field a baseball either.

The rotation picked Cingrani. This ain't the playoffs, he pitches his turn. He did hit on Simon.
