Just one of those days. Again.
This team is just steamrolling towards a playoff spot.

Not to mention that the play Frazier made was one heck of a great pitch. Leake shattered the guy's bat with a terrific pitch up and in, and it only would have been a hit because of bad luck as to where the ball dropped.
Some people have had an agenda against Leake for three years, though, and they will use every opportunity they can to say something bad about him.

I apparently have missed 1000's of posts.
Hannahan is a bench player with a very solid glove. I'm really trying to understand why we're even concerned with him at all. He'll run into a couple of HR's and hits here and there, but he's on the team for his glove.2. Hanahan is having the exact year I expected from him based on age projection.
Choo was an upgrade in center. Overall. Yes, he's a downgrade defensively. But take offense and defense as a whole, yes he's an upgrade. But here's the thing...without Choo in center...who do you have playing center?3. Choo was not an upgrade in Center. He's an upgrade in Left and an upgrade to the top of the order. Either sign only Choo, only Ludwick, or Ludwick to be the 4th Outfielder.
2 things. Our farm system is considerably depleted over the past year or 2. And the guys we DO have down there are struggling mightily this season. Trading them is selling low on them as trade chips. And it takes 2 to tango. Trades don't just happen, you've got to have a trade partner who wants what you have.4. There's always a way to make a trade happen. Most players are available at the right price. There were three Cubs available (not Soriano) who would have helped greatly and cost little.
And you're assuming that the team would've played better with Rick Sweet? I'll never get the Dusty hate around here. Never.5. $2.5M more would have been available had Rick Sweet been Manager instead of Dusty.
I agree that Walt hasn't accomplished much this season...but we're only seeing the end results...not the process. People seem to assume he's not trying hard enough. I don't.6. For the record, I have yet to see a poster on this site who has supported Walt and the two previous G. M.'s as much or as well as I have, so you're suggestion that all things that happen will only generate a complaint from me is nothing but empty banter.
Well, at least Frazier is being more patient at the plate. Now maybe we can get a hit next inning.

12 in a row sat down by Kennedy. Say what you want about our hitters...dude's been sharp today.
How this team plays in Sept. and Oct. will define the 2013 Reds. If they play .500 ball for three months in the middle of the season then so be it.

I wonder what it would take to get Venable from SD.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
Will Venable always looks like a great player when we face him. No clue why. He's well below average against everyone else.
It's an absolute joke to get one hit against Ian Kennedy.
4 runs in 2 and 2/3 of a game.

It is very true that some people have an agenda about Leake. I'm not one of them.
