What I'm saying is that at some point mlb allows players to stand at the plate the way they would for an AB to establis their zone. Every time they come up to bat they will have this exact same strike zone.

Starting to agree with that assessment, but I don't think he's ever had a chance to get into any kind of groove this season. He strikes me as a perpetual .250 guy (with steady ABs) who swings for the fences too often and Ks a lot.

His combined 2012 & 2013 numbers are still less than the equivalent of a full season's worth of plate appearances, and amount to the same number as he had combined in 2010 & 2011.
Thus, we don't know if this Heisey is any more the 'real' Heisey than the one from 2010 & 2011. And furthermore, last year, he still had a .716 OPS. That's by no means good, but it's not outlandish for a guy who does play solid defense.
