Because it's a moot point. That's what in the rule book, but not how it's actually called... Ever. Every ump has their own strikezone, and pitchers have to adjust to that.

I have never blamed this 'disappointing' season on Izturis and Hannahan. I'm practically the leader of the Hannahan fan club compared to the rest of Redszone. The problem with this team, as has been pointed out multiple times, in the below average offensive production at C, SS, LF (this one particularly hurts) as well as barely average at 3B.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

There are just too many ways to manipulate that system.

I'm not saying they shouldn't go to Pitch F/X ever, but if they're going to do it, they need to calibrate the zone on every pitch just like the umpire has to call a zone on every pitch.

All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Personally, I think the problem with this team is the fact that the Pirates and Cardinals have played out of their minds this season.

How many ballparks you see home fans boo in that situation? A lot. Smart Reds fans at GABP today.
Rounding third and heading for home...
