Whatever flaws he has, that kid is a bulldog. Glad to have Leake on the team.

Votto is 5th in MLB in wRC+
    Choo is 13th
    Bruce is 43rd

    BIG GAP

    Frazier 100th
    Phillips 114

I guess we are left to draw our own conclusions about who is/isn't a "star" and what they have done this year.

    nope
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

A 9 pitch inning for Kennedy. The Reds left their bats at home again.

Yes to all 4. Brandon's average is down, but his glove makes up for a BUNCH of things. 15-20 hr's with a bunch of rbi's...I'm fine with that.

Votto is one of the top 5 most impactful offensive players in baseball.

    Choo is top 15.

    Yes. I am personally satisfied.

The problem has been, and remains, the left side of fail. C, SS and LF have been an unmitigated offensive disaster this year.

There's another play by Frazier that would be a hit against most defenses.
"This isn’t stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. Mariner

Other than Izturis's horrible error, the defense today has been much sharper.
