Atletico look like the soccer equivalent of a Mick Cronin team. Defense first, beat you up second, score sometimes.
What if this wasn't a rhetorical question?

That was frustrating, exhilarating and completely satisfying. The long drought is over!

It has been a while. I am especially happy for Wenger. For all his failings he has been a wonderful steward of the Arsenal tradition.

QPR is returning to the EPL after a brief absence. Perhaps they can stick around this time.

Really dramatic win, down a man in injury time. Derby's defender basically put the ball on a tee for Zamora to hit the game winner. Also a huge win for QPR because it was going to have to rip apart its squad if it didn't get back into the Premier League. It's wage bill is WAY above Championship levels.

David Luiz off to PSG for a rumored 48m.

I like him, but at that price PSG can have him. So much for FFP impacting their plans for CL dominance.

Wow, Real Madrid scores an equalizer in the 93rd minute in the Champions League final. Good match.

As soon as Isco and Marcelo came in, RM had them under siege. Looked a lot like the Copa del Rey matchups earlier this year. Isco does a fantastic job of moving the ball through the space AM leaves available when it drops into a shell. Credit to Atletico, which almost held them off.

Almost went hoarse during the latter stages of the game.

Cesc Fabregas to Chelsea. Those matches with Arsenal just got interesting.

I'm pretty surprised Wenger let that go through. The price wasn't crazy high and even though it isn't a direct need, I don't know if you can let Chelsea have him.
