I've asked this before but have never gotten an answer: How do we know Price doesn't decide when to make the pitching change?

Bochy put his team in the best position possible for the results to go in his favor.

I agree...but sometimes I wonder why you bother. *grin* Some things here will never change. Complaining about 1st pitch swinging is a top 5 chart-topper here. :O)

Then he's stupid for being inconsistent with his answer of why he took out Latos on 90 pitches and ZERO runs and then allows a more struggling pitcher to go near 110 pitches to try and get him a win.

    That's a rather subjective opinion.

There is no magic formula as to what constitutes a good managerial decision or a bad one. Fans just pick and choose what they think is the "right time" to make a change, and thus somehow they treat it as gospel that if a manager doesn't follow their hunch, it was the "wrong" choice.

And then when it goes right, they don't give the manager credit. When it goes wrong, it's thereby proof that the manager was wrong.

It's circular logic at its worst.

I'm not sure that answers my question.
