The Life Of A (Reds) Baseball Operations Intern

Kind of interesting, I think. I searched his name, he seems to have a pretty nice resume so far judging by his Linkedin profile. Hopefully the Reds hire him post-internship!

I have used that time to further look into the ROI of international players, waiver claim and DFA analyses, valuation of farm systems, and aging curves for defensive abilities.
Ricky, if you are reading this, look into Mark Reynolds.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Thanks for sharing what is a fantastic glimpse into the career I SHOULD have pursued so many years ago....

Somebody in the FO needs to grab that kid and put him before Walt right away. I feel confident that he would immediately see his value and potential long term.

The kid is clearly bright and articulate, but he also displays some very unique leadership qualities in his writing.
