Is Phil Fulmer a consultant with the NCAA now?

Manziel now plays in the SEC and he's a star QB. It's obvious this matter should be settled before an investigation that's taken 3 years to complete in Coral Gables.

So let me get this straight. They couldn't prove Manziel took any money or broke any rules but he's being suspended for a half because he violated the spirit of the rule where other people made money off of his signatures and likenesses? But doesn't A&M and the NCAA and the TV networks and the newspapers all make money off him?

Rumor has it that Manziel will be signing autographs on the main concourse during the first half of the Rice game.

My Alabama vs Va Tech prediction:

Expect just enough vanilla playcalling by Saban and co to win the game and keep MCCarron on the Heisman watch. No reason to give Texas AM any more info then they need.....

    Alabama 31 Hokies 14

Va tech has too many starters out for this to be any closer.

It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. I wish it would've been at an earlier time!

    Holy Crap:

Nearly 40% of Virginia Tech's travel squad (27 of 71) for Alabama will be either true/redshirt freshmen.

This could be known as the Saban Massacre !!!!

Still ended earlier than Fresno State/Rutgers, which I watched until the end.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Was that ever an outstanding opener to a new college football season?! Incredible. I was glued to it and couldn't take my eyes off the game. Kudos to both teams for being so sharp so early in the season. Those teams/fanbases are not known for their football but you'd never know that after watching. College football at its best.

That was a good game too looking at the box score.

Manziel is a major jerk wad that is impossible to root for. That is all.

Based on his comments after the game, I think Coach Sumlin agrees with you. I can't think of another college football player that has shown such immaturity and lack of class.
