I don't think they are capable. But actually playing an SEC team before Halloween is start.

It's going to be a major undertaking for Vandy to get bowl eligible now. They can do it but they'll have to overcome adversity if they want to keep building on last years season.

So many jokes indeed but revenue isn't one of them.

160,000 people at a NASCAR track to watch a football game.

A lot of the football fans I know are stock car racing fans also. Football is huge in the south. Stock car racing is huge in the south. It's a natural pairing, IMO, and a great idea. I can't wait to see it.

Makes perfect sense, Missouri is not in the south or east, they are on board because nobody wanted to go with 13 teams, they belong in the big10

Nice they have found some success in year 2 though

But there are enough rednecks in parts of that state to qualify them for the SEC.

Everything south of 70 is pretty "Southern."

Re: SEC Football discussion thread #2

I read this the other day and I thought it was telling:

Texas A&M and Missouri this season: 11-1

    West Virginia and TCU: 5-6.

I don't think the Big 12 is any better off. I really don't think there was a better fit than Missouri either. WVU was the other option but they brought nothing to the SEC and were exposed in the Big 12. Good for an occasional upset and a tough home environment but not capable of winning the conference anytime soon.

SEC dominates the polls this week.
