When Chapman blows them, it sure feels like a punch to the gut. The 3 that really stick out are the game at Philly, SD and tonight.

It seems like a ton of walk-off HR losses the last few years with Coco and Chapman.

I would bet over the course of a full season that Lecure would have a similar save percentage as Chapman. AC is a "thrower". Not a pitcher. It also seems like whenever this team appears to be getting on a roll, he (like Cordero) will blow one in dramatic fashion (why can't it be a seeing eye single once in a while that gets him?) Yeeesh.

Why? It was pretty much universally thought in here he wouldn't be used. 5 times in 6 days is a lot, and I know he threw a lot of pitches on Sunday. Can't remember the rest. I guess I just don't get the reasoning of "having" to use him.

He certainly has flaws, but this is far from the truth. He can be flat out unstoppable if used right

Fair point (and one I've noticed all season long). But I think if Keith Hernandez was playing 1st there, Segura still beats the throw.

Only 7 closers (and not all of those are even full-time closers from what I can tell) in all of baseball have more blown saves than Chapman.

Why does Dusty and the media, etc. act like he's such an untouchable hammer out there? He's unbelievably pedestrian.

But in the end, he's pretty much average.

Chapman is not exactly considered a work horse...had no business in the game. Now you can bet he will set tomorrow...should of set tonight and let Hoover finish the game, he was nasty in the 8th and Chapman would of been ready for tomorrow....

Can we question this decision? Or will be get bashed?

His numbers show he is an average to slightly below average closer this year.

Exactly. ANY pitcher is going to be sub-par when used that often in such a short period of time. 5 outta 6 days is a BUNCH. I would've thought he would've been scrubbed before the game even started.
