Nope I wouldn't even dignify it with a response. This is their Superbowl moment, it's cute.

Also can't give him too much rest. He's at his best when he works one, and occasionally a second and gets a day off.

Would be wise to trade Chapman in the offseason. Could probably get a ton for a guy who is average by the numbers. Just not confident when he steps out there anymore.

Props to Lucroy fouling off everything then somehow destroying a slider.

Give credit where credit is due. The Reds lost this as a team.
Most hitters in the majors can destroy a slider placed in that location. Chapman can throw a slider. He just can't locate it worth crap.

Guys, go back and re-watch that drop by Votto at first. It wouldn't have mattered. He beat it out regardless. What lost the game was using Chapman 5 out of 6 days in a row IMO. I was personally STUNNED when they said Chapman was even warming up.

11th, 12th, 13th, 15th and today. Bad call to the bullpen.

Haha would be nice but I see Dusty resting him tomorrow regardless of the situation. I think a lot of us would have liked to see Hoover tonight but I can't blame Dusty at all. If Chapman is your man you have to use him there since its only 2 games in a row and not 3.

    Welp, that sucked.

This team has pissed away so many wins this year. Could have made life much, much easier on ourselves down the stretch.

That is what happens when you never let a player progress into a pitcher and just let him be a thrower. He has 2 pitches. 1 he can sort of locate and the other he has no idea where it will end up.

even with throwing a slider, you need to change the spot. He threw the last 3 pitches within 6 inches of each other

Chapman may be the most overrated player in MLB.

    *sigh*

I don't think it matters anymore. Should've kept JJ in there.
That's not the point. Joey is my favorite Red, but I was better at "stretching" as a first basemen in high school than Joey is now. An MLB stretch would have made the difference in that play.

Bye guys. Let's root Em on to another str reak Tomorrow. At least we know Baker can't make the same mistake two nights in a row. Chapman will be unavailable.

No, let's be serious folks. After 7 straight fastballs that he's all over.....a decent slider or ANY other pitch gets him.

Feel free to watch the replay and tell me that wasn't the worst slider you have ever seen him throw. Right down the center cut middle of the plate.

Chapman had pitched in 4 out of the last 5. Baker did the same thing with KOKO in this ball park a few years ago and the same thing happened. Nuts. Would have been a nice win.
