Pirates get two back in 7th. Thanks, Rangers. Getting swept at home by an inferior NL team? Boooooo. Inexcusable. U r now worse than the Cubs. May a billy goat cross your path.

Oh well, at least the Reds can take care of the Pirates themselves. Rooting against the Cardinals is more fun anyway.

I actually don't mind our taking "care of the Pirates themselves." We beat the "good teams," right?

PNC in two weeks: Bucs' Waterloo. Or so I hope.

Since when did the Reds start being able to beat the good teams but not the bad teams? Jeez! They need to beat EVERYBODY!

Rangers only down 6-5 now, still batting. Game on MLB network.

Clint Barmes homer...seriously? And I had no idea that Felix Pie is with the Pirates now. Was he on their AAA team all year?

    Well, thanks for jacksquat Texas.

Brews take a 1 run lead by running on Yadi's backup. This may be Lynn's last start if he does bad. (2 hits, 2 BB after 2)

I would really appreciate it if the Brewers could hold on here. 2 games behind seems so much closer than 3.

Estrada had a no hitter with 2 outs in the 6th, then took a shot off Carpenter for a hit. Still 1-0 Brewers though.

Nationals winning most every night beat the Mets tonight. Remain six behind the Reds, five in the loss column.

Nats play at Citifield again tomorrow then go home for the Phillies, Braves, and four with Miami. Then two road series, Cards and DBacks.

He's been filthy. He got break back in the 2nd when Adams hit a ball off the RF wall, a foot fair that was called foul by the 1B Ump. If the Cards lose by 1 run, there will be much replay talk by the pundits tomorrow.

That darn Descalso smacked in the tying run with two out in the 7th. 1-1 now after 7. Walks kill.
