Looks like the Cards will let this depleted team salvage one. 4-1 Braves in the 7th

I will take going into STL 2.5 back of the Cards. I actually think the pitching matchups favor the Reds.

And, let's face it, misery loves company.

The Diamondbacks looks like they're going down again today too. So if the Giants can TCOB, the Reds will have not had any further damage done today, in spite of the loss.

Especially the first two days. Need Leake to come up big in the opener.

I really, really love Redszone. Anytime any of you think your fellow posters are getting dense - please, please go to MLB gameday, read a Reds game recap then try - just try to get through the comment section. Not the fans of other teams. Just Reds fans comments. It blows my mind. There are seriously idiotic fans in the world of baseball and thankfully they do not post here...

Brewers in business early. An infield single, bunt single and walk have the bases drunk with Brewers with no outs in the top of the first.

And that rally fizzled quickly. A double play and a ground out. Milwaukee did get one run out of it.

Pirates are starting a rookie, Andrew Lambo, in right. Yeah, I think Byrd can help them out.

As many predicted, Jeff Locke is remembering he's Jeff Locke. 5-0 Brewers in the 5th inning as Locke's second half numbers continue to drop off.

Has he been throwing fastballs to Khris Davis?

Struck him out looking on a generous strike three call on an inside fastball his first atbat. I missed his other two atbats.
