Re: Scoreboard Watching 2013 (Part 3)

Perfect night would involve Reds, Nats and Cubs winning. Seems obvious, but I am actually more focused on the Nats still having hope going into tomorrow night than moving ahead of the Pirates. We'll take care of that ourselves this weekend, if necessary. But more importantly, we need a motivated group of Nats facing the Cards the next two nights.

Nats rallying. 2 on in the 8th with nobody out down 4-2.

Cubs have a man on with one out. 2-1 bottom of the ninth.

One has to look deep into one's soul to root for the Cubs when the occasion calls.

I must remind myself that profanity is frowned upon at Redszone. Should probably step away from the keyboard....

The Cubs got the tying run thrown out at the plate to end the ballgame, by the way.

If the Cubs lose but they don't lose Cubsily, are they still Cubs?

    Cardinals win 4-3.

Reds and Pirates clinch playoff spots.

Both still sit 2 games back in the division.

Nats down to last out down a run. They'll be eliminated with this loss.

And, it's over. Adam LaRoche did what Adam LaRoche does. Made out to end the game.

No changes in the NL Central for tonight. I'll take it.

Nats now with nothing to play for. Could make it real tough for the Division now.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I don't think the Nats have any intention of rolling over and letting the Cardinals easily get two more wins.

I've given up on the division. We're in now. The only important game is a week from tomorrow and all games after.
    Is it "next season" yet?

Oh, and we and the Bucs both clinch WC spots with the Nats' loss in STL.

    We must keep winning.

I don't think anything could be farther from the truth. If you have to play in the Wild Card game you REALLY want that game to be at home. Got to keep winning to make sure that happens.
