    I don't really understand why Ben Lively isn't in full season ball. What does the guy have to prove? It's not like he would be young for the level.

    Likely just on a plan to limit his innings, and they can do that better in Rookie ball.

    I'm guessing he starts in Bakersfield next season, like Cingrani. He has been fantastic.

    You take his innings in college along with his innings in the minors and he is pushing 150. If you add 20 a year and expect him to do 170 next year I think he will be full steam ahead as a starter in Dayton next year.

    Lively has retired the last 23 batters he has faced, striking out 11 of them. Nice.
    Zero chance the Reds miss the playoffs!
