As of right now, he's 7th in the NL in IP, and is averaging 6.5 innings per start (and maybe more if he pitches the 9th).

That doesn't sound like an inability to go deep into games to me.

Great outing for Latos. He's done.

It's a lot more fun watching online a game like it's in a sports bar or you're at the ballpark, than to just be proper and polite throughout the course of the game. It's an emotional game with many emotions tied to the outcomes. Mood swings should be a part of the enjoyment.

Except baseball really isn't a game fueld by emotion.

This is baseball, what team scores 10 a game?

Odds Frazier will first pitch swing?

Edit: I was wrong faked the bunt.

The emotions are from the fans and are fueled and flamed by the media as much as possible.

Not any more so than a fan that does not react to individual games.

Second time I've been asked that. Not sure why.

I just posted what the game logs said. Not pretty much all season, recently. Its something he's needed to work on, he gets lots of fouls and takes because of his stuff and pitch count runs up, and as I said, he's headed the right direction.

Today, Dusty got exactly what he needed because of last night's bullpen clearing game, and I imagine regardless of the outcome he will get cudos for a great performance. He does from me.

If Billy Hamilton was on the bench would you pinch-run at this point? I would.

Votto will be walked. They have to set up the DP.

No boy this is dumb by AZ.

Latos traditionally struggles late in games. Baker said earlier this year that they were trying to "stretch him out" (or words to that effect) which I took to mean that they want to address that problem.

I suspect the reason his average outing is 6.5 innings is that he is so difficult to hit earlier in games.

Just a sense that this "problem" has really improved of late. I must say that I can hardly remember the Reds with a better young pitcher than Latos. Not in a very long time.

Unlike Cueto, also a superb young pitcher, Latos is a big pitcher and from a health/stamina viewpoint hopefully has a very long career ahead of him.

If there is one player on the Reds I'd like to see signed long term it is Latos.
