Isn't that true of most pitchers, though?

This guy has so much movement on the ball, he has no idea where it's going. Unfortunately, neither do the Reds which makes him tough to hit. Notice there hasn't been much solid contact off him. Problem is too many of the Reds are settling and swinging at crap on the first pitch or while ahead in the count.
"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"

Great point....Reds now 0-5 when putting the first pitch in play.

Nothing like making the guy throw a few.
Yes that was a very impressive infield single. I thought for a second it was leaving the yard. - texasdave 10/13/12

I would say not. Most pitchers don't hold teams to two or less runs.

You are forgetting that we are the worst at everything.

Winning 3 out of 4 from the Diamondbacks was never going to be easy, especially having to face Corbin in one of the four.

But, here we are with three innings left in the series and we are in position to take 3 of 4. Just have to buckle down now. We have our best pitcher on the mound and we have the last at-bat. I like our chances.

Where is there more whining and complaining? A Thom Brenneman broadcast or a RZ game thread?

Latos 10x this season 3 or fewer ER with ND or L. That is on the high side.

    Precision effort by Latos.

He's at his "ACE" best right now. Not necessarily the best of his stuff, but he's mentally at his best.

To the level headed folks who never seem to get worked up. Do you honestly not get frustrated at all seeing Trevor Cahill, who is clearly struggling, hold the Reds to 1 R and 3 H? I'm glad we have posters who always keep their cool it is much needed and I like to think I usually do well with that but a game like this is pretty frustrating for me.
