But you and I both know OBM didn't know that when he said it. He was overreacting to what he's seen Davis do in half a dozen games against the Red and making a plain assumption.
    Give it a rest.

Wonder why Dusty didn't use Hoover in the eighth. He seemed to be the set up man recently. He rested yesterday.

Not that Hoover was a lock, he's allowed some runs lately, but it seems odd that suddenly Simon is pitching the eighth.

Right, it was a do nothing, off speed, right in his HR zone!

Christiani not showing any control; gives up a four-pitch walk.

You mean the exact same in-game reactions that take place on every other sports message board on the internet? The difference is the other message boards I post on don't allow the attacking of other posters that is commonplace here. If you're that offended by someone else's reactions during a game, then game threads are never going to be your thing.

You've been overreacting in these threads all year and people have asked you to calm down. It's hardly the first time you've done it.

Regardless, you were making an assumption that he was a fastball hitter based on watching him in 5-6 games. That is in fact what you did. It doesn't mean you were wrong, but you're acting like you know more than the Reds because of what you've seen in a handful of plate appearances.

No, I don't know that he didn't know that. Neither do you for that matter. Correct? You may be right...only OBM knows. But who cares? Seriously. This is a GAME. It's not meant to be taken so seriously like it's life or death. It's supposed to be enjoyed and to have fun watching. I don't mean to preach...but sometimes it's okay to lighten up. Not necessarily you Brutus...just in general. Some view a game thread in the same way they view being at the game. They speak their mind impulsively. Nothing wrong with that. I've certainly made my fair share of stupid statements, but I'm level-headed enough to come back and say later that I'm a doofus and I should rarely be taken very seriously. :O)

Phillies beat the DBacks, 4-3. Reds magic number drops to 28.

So basically because people overreact on message boards, they shouldn't make any attempt not to overreact here? The "everyone does it" defense?
