Maybe he can't get poutine in Cincinnati but can on the road. It's the fuel required to power Canadian killer cyborgs from the future. That and fancy coffee.

    Obviously

Oh great, another thread bashing Phillips.

    Can't get poutine in Cincinnati?

Obviously you've never been to Senate in Over the Rhine. The poutine there might be the greatest damn thing I've ever consumed in my life.

Maybe something's wrong with Joeybot's poutine location sensors

    Votto's 2013 isn't a lot different from his 2011 season.

This year is just one season. I'd be careful making too much out of differences between relatively small samples.

How long is temporary? One year Seems like a long time to heal from a relatively minor knee surgery.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

    I'm giving you homework.

Find ten guys with career SLG over .500 that suffered a similar injury to Votto. Report back to RaisorZone what they did a year out.

I would expect his numbers to rebound next year after a full healthy offseason.

And didn't Votto miss like 6 weeks with his injury last year? I would hardly call that minor.

    No thanks on the homework.

Just tired of hearing about his knee surgery as an excuse for Votto's lack of power. I hope it's temporary because my favorite team s married to the guy for the next 10 years.

It was reported as a torn meniscus, unless the surgery was botched or was more involved than diagnosed he should have been healed in less than 3 months. Full recovery is typically 4-6 weeks per the Internet medical sites.

An excuse? Seriously? Ever had knee surgery? Not to mention two within the span of a month. It's not uncommon for it to take an extended period of time for an athlete to regain their pre-procedure form.

I thought I would get ribbed for that.
