I assume Bruce is just getting a day off? I think Votto could use one next.

    I think you're assuming right:https://twitter.com/ctrent

Jay Bruce had started the last 90 games, and in 20 games this month, was hitting .192/.289/.315 with 2 HR

Correct. Bruce No. 1 at 1156.1, Votto 3rd at 1139.1 RT “@eGildenblatt: @ctrent I believe he leads the MLB in innings played, too.”

IMO Bruce is the only guy we have that can start 155+ games without seeing much need for a day off. To me Votto and Phillips should have 2 scheduled days off each month from June on with 1 each in April and May. That would give them 152 starts and they could PH. I believe Votto is so intense that it really weighs on him. Neither had an ASB and Votto has more lapses than any superstar I can remember.

Choo is doing well holding up.....hopefully he can maintain through the last 5 weeks and then also the playoffs.

I'd much rather see Paul in LF, especially against Peralta.

Maybe Hannahan can actually do something besides taking a walk...one of these days.

At least we have someone on the mound who probably won't feed Davis a steady diet of heaters...even if Hanigan keeps calling for them.

Dusty grinds guys hard. Despite what he says, he runs a rigid roster.

It is interesting that Dusty just said Cueto is closer to returning than Marshall. I have no expectations for either of these guys the rest of the season.

Good call Dusty. I was just commenting on this the other day. Long overdue for Jay to get a day off. Hopefully Dusty gave him those instructions "don't even dress...don't even THINK about baseball". A true day off.

What I wouldn't have done is give Frazier the day off as well. 1, not both.

Aoki flies out to Ludwick in shallow left.

Good God....they changed Philiips error to a hit for Aoki yesterday.

Why even keep stats. Completely ridiculous. 100% error

Nice. Brewers out 1-2-3 in the first.

He needs to be dressed and ready for a potential role very late in the game if needed.

That play was more of a hit than the one they awarded Bruce later in the game. Phillips had to make a VERY quick transfer to even have a shot at him. I thought Brandon's was an error, but close enough to go either way.
