What Happens if the Season Ends in a Tie?

Assume all three end tied or two end tied? I'm assuming it is played off now and doesn't go to head-to-head as it did pre second wild card?

I think the division title goes to the runner, right?

If two teams tie for the division, you'd have a one game playoff.

Not sure what happens with a 3 way tie.

If there is a tie between two clubs, then there will be a one-game playoff. The club with the better head-to-head record is home team.

If there is a three-way tie, then the clubs are seeded based on head-to-head records. If they have identical head-to-head records, then they are ranked by intradivisional records. The #1 seed then has its choice of being designated Team A, B, or C. The #2 seed gets second choice, with the #3 seed getting the remaining designation. The day after the regular season ends, Team A hosts Team B in a one-game playoff. The next day, the winner hosts Team C in a one-game playoff.

I'm thinking we currently have a losing 2013 record against both the Cards and Pirates, so we'd be on the outside-looking-in, as far as having any tie-breaker being played at home, if that doesn't change.

Thanks. How does the wildcard come into play? I'm assuming these games wouldn't figure into head-to-head record to determine home team? Theoretically, you could play three games prior to ever getting to the LDS round.

That could change with the outcomes of the 13 remaining games the Reds play against those two teams.

If the two clubs that do not win the division are the two wild cards, then no extra playoff game is necessary, and tiebreakers decide which one is the first wild card. However, if the two losers are tied for the second wild card position, or tied with a third club from outside the division for a wild card position, then there would have to be another playoff.

The clubs have to engage in a very awkward contest of Twister, in which the mats are arranged on a field. The fans get to throw fruit at them to try to make them lose their footing.

The team with the best overall contortion score wins the division.

The team with the fewest ex-Cubs is the first seed, second fewest is second, and the one with the most is sent home.

What would happen? Bud would declare that the winner of the next season gets home field advantage in the world season and it matters.
