My new favorite coach in the MLB

    I've never seen this before.
It's hilarious, Rockies 1B coach Rene Lachemann lectures young kids when he hands them a baseball.
Next Reds manager, second shooter. --Confirmed on Redszone.

    Love this. Thanks for sharing!

Billy Hatcher should do this, or maybe regale the ball receiver with tales of his prowess in the 1990 post season.

You know, if he's going to lecture the kids...he should probably use correct grammar. :O)

He'll be the old man from Gran Torino soon.

    Good stuff, thanks for sharing.

He was LaRussa's original third base coach when he came to St. Louis. He was a great guy and very active in the community. He would invite groups of disadvantaged youths to every game, as many as 10 or 20. You'd get to go in the dugout and talk with him beforehand. You met some of the players. One of my good buddies got to participate, as he was in a foster home. Lacheman is A+ in my book... not surprised in the least that he's still making people smile.
