Offense has scored 4 runs already. They're probably done until Game 3.

Last team to win back to back NL central titles. Houston, right?

D'oh! Sorry, forgot the Cubs. Houstons was back in the 90's now that I think about it.

Yogi was squat - I saw him in play in person more years ago than I care to admit, not fat but as you say but short and barrel built, strong. He also had the same dark, dark eyes. Mes is tall and slender in comparison and his arms don't hang past his hips (another Berra feature) but when I see his face in profile I think of Yogi. I wish I thought of Yogi when I watch him hit...

In terms of Leake's performance today, the walk was hard to swallow and he laid one in there for Holiday. The first guy on nubbed a hit thru against the shift after Leake got squeezed.

Not making excuses, but I don't think Leake is laying an egg so far...just unfortunate timing. That said, I've been expecting him to regress.

Is it time the Reds start walking Holiday regardless of the situation?
Yes that was a very impressive infield single. I thought for a second it was leaving the yard. - texasdave 10/13/12

It was just for you. But he still got a decent pitch to hit before he stepped into the 2nd one.
