    Mark Reynolds

Glad we didn't pick up Reynolds like some suggested. Since he joined the Yankees, he is batting a blistering .192 and gone yard once.

I too like to make assertions based on 9 games and 29 ABs.
They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

it's what we do on the interwebz
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

What Mark Reynolds is is pretty well known at this point.

Don't get me wrong, I also didn't have any desire to see Reynolds in Cincinnati, but that doesn't have anything to do with 9 games he's played as a Yankee.

Even the OPS you posted was above league-average though...
"On-base percentage is great if you can score runs and do something with that on-base percentage," Baker said. "Clogging up the bases isn't that great to me."

Though I'm not the biggest believer in WAR, I do think its pretty impressive that he's clocked in with negative value in 3 consecutive seasons, one of which he hit 37 HRs but was anchored by an incredible -28.2 UZR.

And in his 09 season in which he hit 44 HRs and stole 24 bases on his way to a .260/.349/.543 line he was still only worth 3 wins.

    Weird player that guy is.
